WISA Events Working Group Expression of Interest Form
WISA is seeking 5-8 members to join a WISA Events Working Group. The purpose of this group is to assist in the design and execution of WISA’s 2020 Event Program.
The objective of this group is for members to inform WISA and assist in shaping the event program to ensure all events are topical and relevant for the industry.
The working group members, with the assistance of WISA, will be responsible for:
- Deciding on event topics and themes based on current trends and issues influencing the industry.
- Suggesting or sourcing speakers, panellists and moderators and issuing invitations when the working group member has an existing relationship or connection with the potential speaker.
- Assisting in the preparation of panel questions and speaker briefs.
The ideal working group member will have the following:
- A comprehensive understanding of the wine industry, including both the supply chain and grape growers/winemakers.
- An interest in keeping up to date with current trends, issues and technology in the wine industry.
- A broad industry network.
- A passion for knowledge sharing with the goal to improve the capability and competitiveness of the Australian wine industry.
The aim is for the group is to meet bi-monthly either in person or via teleconference.
Members will only be responsible for providing strategic advice, all event logistics will still be carried out by WISA staff.
