Australian Vintage
Australian Vintage (AV) set about gaining Sustainable Winegrowing Australia certification for all its owned and leased sites ahead of vintage 2024. This project meant the assessment, audit and certification of 10 vineyards in four growing regions – Barossa, Adelaide Hills, Murray Darling and the Riverland. Buronga Hill Winery was also certified to ensure the relevant internal supply chain was covered, cementing AV’s commitment to sustainable farming practices. In addition, the Company engaged their valued growers to join them on the certification journey, leading by example and actively collaborating with them through sharing learnings, addressing concerns and educating and supporting their partners on the merits and opportunities of certification. This not only helped the Company to improve overall certified fruit intake but elevated the wider supply chain towards sustainable business practices and proactive steps to future proof their businesses.
